Reporting to the Director of Data & Innovation Services at the Biotech Commons, this position is based at the Biotech Commons and is a member of the STEM Libraries Team, contributing to the division’s services and endeavors. The STEM Libraries include the Biotech Commons, Dental, Veterinary, Chemistry, and Math/Physics/Astronomy Libraries, as well as Engineering Library Services.
The Bioinformatics Librarian will develop and maintain bioinformatics support services for basic and clinical research faculty, staff, and students at the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM). Working with colleagues from across the Penn Libraries system, this position will also support those engaged in bioinformatics research at the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), the Schools of Dental and Veterinary Medicine, the School of Arts & Sciences (SAS), and the School of Nursing.
