The third cycle of PA GOAL (Pennsylvania Grants for Open and Affordable Learning) will focus exclusively on grants to libraries for Library Licensed Materials. Projects in this category provide reimbursements for campus library expenditures for commercially-produced materials which are acquired by the library and adopted for classroom use in lieu of student-purchased commercial textbooks.

Applications will be considered through the spring on a rolling basis, with monthly rounds of review until all available funds (roughly $100,000) are awarded. The soft deadline for applications to be considered is the first of every month (February 1, March 1, and April 1). Applicants will be notified of whether they received an award by the 8th of every month. It is encouraged to apply early, as applications will no longer be considered after available funds are depleted.
