PALCI is pleased to unveil its recently redesigned website, available now at https://palci.org. The web redesign was part of a larger rebranding effort that included the development of the new PALCI acronym (Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration & Innovation) and a redesigned logo, which followed a year-long visioning and future framing process led by the PALCI Board of Directors.

Vision: PALCI is the trusted and preferred partnership for academic library collaboration and innovation.

PALCI staff partnered with a local graphic designer, A. Christian Baum to develop the logo and Concepcion Design, a local web design firm, to create the new palci.org site, which is built on the WordPress platform. PALCI’s goal was to communicate the organization’s recently revised mission, vision and values to current and potential new PALCI members through a sleek and informative website reflective of the collaborative and innovative spirit of libraries partnering in PALCI. The new site is viewed as a partner engagement, recruitment, and retention tool that tells the story of PALCI.

The new site retains information about PALCI’s organizational structure, continues to highlight the work of its member organizations through its News & Events and Jobs feed, and seeks to showcase the organization’s collaborative programs and innovative initiatives. With the launch of this new site PALCI has also shifted its member-facing content, which was previously available behind a “members only” login screen, to other internal tools, such as the PALCI ConsortiaManager portal for information about invoicing and ordering, and Basecamp for committee work and group-based communications, freeing up the palci.org website to highlight the information that matters most to those who wish to learn more about the organization.

Staff at PALCI libraries are welcome to continue contacting PALCI staff at support@palci.org to share job postings and other news relevant to the consortium.
