The Libraries of the Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania (CUPa), members of the Keystone Library Network and PALCI library consortia, invite applications for a nine-month, full-time, tenure-track Research & Instruction Librarian / Health Sciences & Sciences Liaison, to join our group of committed librarians in a student-centered research environment. The campuses of CUPa, a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), are located in beautiful north-central Pennsylvania, approximately three hours from Philadelphia and New York City and fifty miles west of the Pocono Mountains. The successful candidate will be based at Lock Haven University with the expectation of regular travel between the campuses of CUPa. The successful candidate will serve as liaison to the College of Health Professions, the School of Nursing, and the College of Science & Technology; participate in the Libraries’ instruction; provide research guidance; and participate in collection development. The successful candidate will need to complete distance education training programs as made available by the University within two years of hire for the purpose of teaching in a multi-campus environment with remote teaching needs. The CUPa Libraries support the professional development of all of their faculty and staff. Some evening and weekend work will be required. Summer and winter session contracts are optional. The successful candidate will be expected to fulfill the professional responsibilities, scholarly growth, and service requirements for tenure and promotion as outlined in Article 12 of the APSCUF collective bargaining agreement.
