The PALCI consortium, comprising 76 academic and research libraries across Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia, has been at the forefront of promoting excellence in library services and resource sharing. The 2023 Annual Report showcases the organization’s commitment to advancing the academic and research landscape through strategic partnerships and cutting-edge initiatives.

Key highlights from the report include:

Collections Expansion: PALCI has significantly expanded its digital collections offerings, providing member institutions with access to a diverse range of resources, including primary sources, eBooks, scholarly journals, and multimedia materials. This expansion underscores PALCI’s dedication to supporting research and learning at-scale in the digital age.

Innovative Sharing Collaborations: The report outlines PALCI’s successful collaborations with other library consortia, academic institutions, open source communities, and industry partners. These partnerships have resulted in shared resources, cost savings, and enhanced services for member libraries, fostering a culture of innovation and cooperation.

Professional Networking: PALCI remains committed to building relationships among member libraries’ staff and keeping the community plugged into what’s happening regionally, nationally, and internationally.
