The Waidner-Spahr Library Fellowship is an excellent opportunity for a college (4-year or 2-year) graduate to explore the multi-faceted profession of librarianship. The Fellow will support essential library functions by working with two or more teams across the library (e.g. Access Services; Archives & Special Collections; Collections & Resources; Research & Instruction). Specific departments and projects will be assigned based on the fellow’s interest and experience, and the needs of the library. An emphasis will be placed on projects and initiatives supporting the experience of Dickinson’s undergraduate student population, as well as those that advance one or more library values (e.g. DEI; access to information; community of practice; pursuits of inquiry; scholarly communication). This position will also support library promotion and outreach activities including, but not limited to student research awards, pre- and new student orientation, trivia nights, etc. The fellowship appointment is for one year and will be eligible to extend for a second year.
