This is a position in the University Library System, Office of Scholarly Communication and Publishing responsible for conducting training and outreach in support of the programs and services of the office, coordinating projects with publishing clients and faculty members, assisting in the editorial operations of the unit’s publishing initiatives, and creating and maintaining documentation. The position reports to the Director of the Office of Scholarly Communication and Publishing and is part of a team serving the University of Pittsburgh community to advise and conduct outreach on a wide range of research communication issues. Effective problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required, as well as the flexibility, intelligence, and drive to handle the variety of responsibilities and the demands of currency in this rapidly evolving field. Relevant experience in documentation, training, document workflow management, and/or scholarly publishing is preferred.
