Gumberg Library at Duquesne University seeks a service-focused, innovative, and collaborative librarian to support health sciences and STEM education and research. The Health Sciences & STEM Librarian serves as the primary liaison to the Schools of Health Sciences and Natural & Environmental Sciences, providing research assistance, information literacy instruction, collection development, and outreach. This position collaborates with library faculty to support students and faculty in other programs including Nursing, Pharmacy, and Osteopathic Medicine (starting in 2024), and engages researchers with advanced support including evidence synthesis reviews and bibliometric analysis. This position also teaches the required interprofessional research skills course for health sciences undergraduates and participates in curricular design.
This is a full-time non-tenured library faculty position under the direction of the Head of Research Engagement and Health Sciences/STEM Initiatives. Candidates meeting the criteria for the Associate Librarian rank are preferred but candidates at the Assistant Librarian level will be considered.
