The Rutgers University Libraries seeks a proactive, collaborative, and user-centered librarian for this tenure-track position based in the John Cotton Dana Library. The position reports to the Associate University Librarian – Newark and will work closely with the School of Criminal Justice (SCJ) Dean and the SCJ Library Committee and its diverse community of faculty, students, and staff. The Criminal Justice Librarian will place a particular emphasis on reference, instruction, collection development, and outreach activities that will contribute to the academic success of undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in SCJ programs. This position will be knowledgeable about scholarly communication trends in this field and will manage the Gottfredson Library collection, widely regarded as one of the leading collections of criminal justice materials in the world. As a member of the Libraries’ faculty, the selected candidate will provide general reference and instruction services to the broader University community.
