The Scholarly Communication Librarian will contribute to the Research Support and Engagement Team by delivering an active program of education, training, advocacy, support, and information sharing to the WVU community. The Scholarly Communication Librarian will promote and advance the Research Repository at West Virginia University as a place to host scholarship produced by WVU scholars and departments and will seek opportunities to increase the Libraries’ publishing capabilities and evolve Library publishing strategy. The Scholarly Communication Librarian will also collaborate with research support librarians on programs and initiatives focused on supporting faculty and graduate students to increase research impact for published works. In addition, the Scholarly Communication Librarian will develop and cultivate initiatives involving authors’ rights, copyright, and Open Access publishing.
