The Technology & Patron Experience Librarian will be responsible for ensuring that the library’s services, systems, technology, and resources are accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with the college’s academic goals. The Technology & Patron Experience Librarian collaborates with external vendors, library staff, and the W&J Information Technology Services department (ITS) to assess system efficiency, resolve issues, and enhance user experience for library services, technologies, and resources, with a particular focus on the library services platform, discovery service, single sign-on platform, resource sharing software and library web presence. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Technology & Patron Experience Librarian assists students, staff and faculty with their research and learning needs by providing reference services and delivering information literacy instruction.
The staff at the Clark Family Library will provide on-the-job training for our specific systems. We encourage new graduates and individuals eager to learn more about library systems to apply. While relevant on-the-job experience is preferred, it is not required.
